New toy: Kitchen Aid Artisan Mixer

I have been promising myself to get one of these for ages as they really are investment that will last easily 10+ years. When my little Sunbeam was collapsing under the weight of all the cupcakes I have been baking (butter icing is awesome but tough to beat up), I knew the time had come to get one.

I had to go on a waiting list for an Ice Blue one but the list wasn't too long. A friend contributed a voucher and my gran and parents donated money to it so the R5490 from YuppieChef wasn't so steep to pay at the end of the day.

It arrived today after I ordered it yesterday (Yay! for 24hr delivery!) and I rushed home at lunch to unpack it, I was so excited. I won a cook book for it last year at a NuMetro Girl's Night Movies event and can't wait to get home and try some of the recipes out.
