My Thoughts: This was a particularly interesting read as it starts off innocently enough with a woman picking up hitchhikers in Scotland. Buff hitchhikers without attachments are her preferred prey. This is not your normal serial killer crime novel though and why she is particular is perhaps more alarming than any expected reason could be.

The Wall Street Journal describes this book as "An Animal Farm for the new century" and I agree. This book raises many issues about what makes humanity humane, equality, sacrifice and how mundane actions might be viewed by outsiders.
